An Open Call For Contributors

Yes, you read that right! It’s something I’ve considered for ages and now – in the spirit of Get Out The Bonzai! month, in the interest of building this awesome community, inspired by the urging of Bonzai readers – I’m taking the plunge!

Do you have a project or topic you think the BA community would enjoy? I’m now accepting original and exceptional articles to feature on the site. You can write about anything you like, though there are certainly areas that need more attention than others (like The Fashion).

I’m so excited about this! I love the idea of opening up our community even more, and I’m thrilled to see what comes out of such a creative bunch. Email submissions to info at bonzaiaphrodite dot com.

    If you are deluged with articles, will you let us know which topics are already covered and which ones need more attention, so that we don’t write up an article similar to another one you’re already planning to put on BA?

    I’d love some articles about mens fashion or just great Vegan/ethical clothing options!
    Oh and my Kombucha Scoby FINALLY arrived, without starter fluid and in stragily bits and pieces :/
    I think a new one is growing on the surface though theres a thin whitey film appearing :)

    @ Tenise Rae – Yeah, more like a tutorial or an article than like a journal. But really, I’m open to anything!

    @ windycityvegan – That’s a good idea, I’ll keep that in mind and let you all know if I get a good queue going.

    @ Richard – Oh man, you are having a roller coaster ride with the kombucha thing! =D

    I do have some fashion stuff planned for fall, and I’ll definitely include some men’s stuff in there.

    @ Catnip – Shoes article is in the works! Recipes are always welcome, maybe email me if you’e interested in doing an unschooling article?

    What about something about green roofs?! I’m a green roof specialist at a landscaping company and I think the subject might fit well with your general theme. You guys should put one on your little house :) You can even grow veggies up there!

    this idea is excellent, but I’m not much of a writer. I am a photographer though. how would you feel about some bonzai related photos?

    @ Alena Dawson – Oh man I would LOVE to do a green roof on HQ! I’ve totally thought about it. An article would be great, especially from an ‘insider’. Bring it on!

    @Sayward- I was thinking photos of anything to do with vegetarian/vegan life. food shots, market shots, animals outside instead of on a plate…anything at all. I have a few samples I can send you if you’d like to see what I’m talking about.
