Pictures Of Things + Le Love List :: 10/52

Just a very short one this week, because it’s been both boring and busy, which doesn’t make for many pictures. But hey – TEN! I kind of can’t believe I made it to week ten! When I decided to attempt this 52Photo project, it was completely on a whim. I decided to do 52 photo posts, like, the very same day I announced my intention to do 52 photo posts. So in all honesty, I wasn’t actually sure how well I’d be able to keep it up. But HUZZAH! Ten weeks so far and still going.

Here’s to 42 more!

Week 10. Here’s what it looked like:

Dinner at said birthday celebration. My godmother always makes the prettiest plates of food.

This week was the Science Fair. We learned about different states of matter, and we made slime. I wish I had a recording of Waits explaining “It’s a non-Newtonian fluid!” because that is definitely one of the cutest things I’ve ever heard.

Shoutout to my new boss who brings me matcha mochi fro the Asian market.

And shoutout to this most handsome fellow. He and I no longer own a wine bar! Which means we no longer work every single weekend. Which means — date nights!

Oh, date nights. I sure have missed you!

Guys. OMG, guys. So I am down south for the weekend for Natural Products Expo West, and I am staying with Joni in Long Beach again. And here in Long Beach, there is sort of this incense thing? Like, all the bodegas and corner stores have incense. A lot of it. And when I arrived at Joni’s on Friday night, she presented me wit this most epic gift: Michelle and Barack Obmama inspired incense! CAN YOU EVEN HANDLE IT???

Yeah, me neither.

Okay, now it’s time for the one, the only, Le Love List!

Not being a minimalist. // Squats. // My new job, temporary but familiar and with so very much potential (crossing all my fingers and toes). // Pregnant friends. // Feeling the weather warming up again. // Wearing my overalls to work in the garden (the kiddos love it). // Vegan Street Fair is in two weeks!!!!. // Really amazing, heartfelt hugs from Dan. // Pranking Jackie with Joni and Brian and Erin. // Walking the convention room floor and seeing so many exciting new things . . . and so many exciting people! // And in that vein: reconnecting with all my vegan blogger and business pals at Expo this weekend. So many friendly faces and warm embraces, so much fun and love and celebration. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of such an awesome community, full of movers and makers, creators and innovators, artists and writers and oh, so many “personalities”. They are a pretty fun bunch! Dynamic and diverse and impassioned, every one. And I am proud to stand among them. ♥

Alright guys, now it’s your turn! I really love reading your own Le Love Lists, so please leave them down in the comments below. What are the little things in your life that make you smile this week?

Happy Sunday, I hope you have a most wonderful week!

Flowers blooming everywhere. Huzzah! A good week. A great week. Our very first week without Five & 1/4 meant no running around on Wednesday afternoon shopping for ingredients, no staying up late that night cooking and prepping, no babysitter for Waits on the weekend! It meant date night with my Honey on Thursday, and it [...]

I met Jeremy at Vegan Beer Fest. Have I ever told you that story? I met Jeremy at Vegan Beer Fest. He was tall and handsome and really outgoing, and he talked a lot which was great because I was pretty shy. And if I’m being honest, I wasn’t super interested in Jeremy that day. [...]

♥ ♥ ♥ This week. This week started out hard, and then got harder. This week started out full, and then got fuller! This week was just plain exhausting. And full of changes — the big, sweeping, unexpected, life-altering kinds. But I feel like I’ve been writing about those kinds of changes a lot lately. [...]
