This week included many, many tacos, which pretty much makes it guaranteed awesome, don’t you agree? Tacos and potential new opportunities presenting themselves totally unexpectedly. Which is also very awesome.
This week was also reactions and reckonings. Reflection. And recalibrating.
A good week, indeed. Here’s what it looked like:
And now, it’s time for the one, the only, Le Love List!
Soup! Spicy Korean clear broth soup. Tangy Thai Tom Kha soup. Hearty Sri Lanken curry dahl soup. I’m basically just over the moon for SOUP this winter! // The look of absolute glee on the faces of my kindergarteners as they taste broccoli flowers for the first time. And clamor for more and exclaim “Wait, you can eat this? This is soooo good!” // Finding notes and cards that Jeremy hid all around the house on Valentines day. He really is the best. ♥ // Spicy black tea. // Rachel Maddow. // Community & Comedy (the two pillars of my “Surviving Trump” strategy). // Morning meetings with powerful movers and shakers in Santa Barbara. Spending my spare time in activism is keeping me going, these days. // Waits has discovered the delightful absurdity of Yellow Submarine, which is now his favorite song. (Thanks Jeremy! Yay Beatles!) // Watching Jeremy charm the pants off an entire room of patrons. // Crystal shopping with 5 and 6 year olds. // A roudy private party of theatre folks who filled up our wine bar, spent a few hours hooting snd hollering, and then suddenly all sat down and played the most exciting game of BINGO I’ve ever witnessed. // Waits’s new nickname for me, “Momazing” which, I’m told, is short for “Amazing Mommy”. I mean geeze — you just can’t even make this stuff up. ♥
Alright guys, now it’s your turn! I really love reading your own Le Love Lists, so please leave them down in the comments below. What are the little things in your life that make you smile this week?
Happy Sunday, I hope you have a most wonderful week!
♥
