MMM #17 Round-Up: Drop A Pebble, Start A Love Ripple!

This month’s mission was ultimate simplicity, inspired by the kindness of Bonzai reader Kathryn. And I think it may just be one of my favorite missions to date!

All you had to do was go to Amazon, search for a stranger’s wish list, and send them something they wanted. Just a little bit of unsolicited-entirely-random-and-absolutely-delightful affection. I don’t know about you, but I had SO much fun perusing wish lists, peeking into lives and imagining the people that would possess such interests. And the exciting sense of connection upon finding a list full of things I also love!

I’d say this mission was a resounding success! We had multiple gift recipients come find Bonzai Aphrodite to say hello. Wonderful! So, a huge warm welcome to all of you!

    I had SO much fun doing this mission. I am officially addicted to giving! I was so excited when I saw the recipients trickling in and it brings me joy to know they are now enjoying this blog. YAY!!

    I found this appealing for the obvious reasons but chose not to participate. Lately just seeing people (including my kids) so wrapped up in material and their “stuff” I have been really trying to minimalize my home and show my family other values especially through the holidays/birthdays. So my thoughts were did these people really NEED it, I don’t know. I would like to try and think of other ways of passing an experience or memory but I am not too creative to have come up with anything yet. I would like to keep my eyes open for the opportunity though.
