The Friday Feedback Forum

July 31st, 2009 - filed under: Uncategorized

Oi there dears! Happy Friday! It’s the weekend again, and that means it’s time for comments, critiques, thoughts, support, and suggestions.

So what’s been on your brain? Which section of the site would you like to see expanded? (the food? the fashion? the farm?) What would you like to attempt as your next Monday Monthly Mission??

Every weekend the Feedback Forum remains at the top of the page, so you can check back in and have your say. If you’ve got an idea or a question or you just want to introduce yourself and say ‘Oi!’, come back here to do it!

And as always, have the most wonderful weekend!

I just discovered you the other day, and I definitely enjoy your sassy, smart, funny and ethical attitude. Although you’ve made certain lifestyle choices, you don’t come across as holier than thou or condescending to people who aren’t there yet, as so many often do.

My one suggestion for the site would be to make your archives easy to navigate. Right now it seems that a new reader can’t just start at the beginning and cruise through with a ‘next’ button, but has to hit back, then go forward, then back again, then forward, to navigate through. Even though you’re enjoyable enough for me to have persisted, you could lose some readers who find that frustrating, which would really be a shame.

Nearly one month ago i started to following you with my reader and i like what you are doing. Keep writing what you want, i will be reading everything you share.

I would love to hear more about the gardening. Where did you get your knowledge from? Did someone teach you? Did you read a book? Internet? I read a book but there are so many different aspects to planting a garden that it is a little overwhelming to know where to begin. I also love the food posts.

Thanks and keep up the great posts!

@ Cindy – Welcome! And thanks for the sweet words. =)

So, just to be sure I understand, you’d like to see an archive where one could start at the first article, and read through continuously in chronological order? Hmmm, let me ask my husband, er ‘programmer’, about that. It’s a great idea!

@ Recep – Wow, from Turkey, that’s awesome! Are you Turkish or ex-pat? Regardless, welcome!!

@ Allison – I am a self-taught gardener, and am of course still learning. I have a couple of great books but for the most part, I spend a lot of time on the internet, reading and researching. It’s an ongoing process – one I’m thrilled to share. =)

Sayward – That’s exactly what I mean. Where you started, and the journey from there to here are both as interesting as where you are now, and allowing newcomers to experience your journey as it happened (with simple navigation) would be great.

I was just randomly thinking that I hope when you harvest your potatoes that you might post some potato recipes. I eat a lot of potatoes because they are cheap, but sometimes I lack creativity.

@ Cindy – Awesome, I’ll definitely look into that.

@ Meghan – Definitely! I’ll be doing posts with all sorts of garden bounty, and there will surely be tons of potato features! That is, assuming that my tire towers work . . . (fingers crossed)
