Playing Dress-Up: A Bee Dress For A Busy Busy Girl

July 9th, 2009 - filed under: The Fashion » Playing Dress-Up

I seem to have developed a motif this summer, and I love it when that happens.

big ratty Marla hair + funky little dress + cropped leggings = awesomeness ’09

This stripey minidress perfectly captures my warm-weather uniform. And I know I say it every time, but I love this dress. It’s just so . . . *me*. Those sorts of clothes, the ones that make you feel more like yourself when you wear them, are such little treasures.

  • Black Button Leggings: secondhand
  • Black Combat Boots: very very old, by Gripfast

I ended my busy Wednesday with a lovely impromptu picnic. Bikes and parks and my favorite person . . . summer nights just don’t get any better!

Very cute! Hubby bought me my first sewing machine three years ago. I’ve only used it once on a scrapbook page. I’d love to sew, I just need to get out to those fabric stores!
    Cute hair cut too!

  • me3

To which Marla does your hair refer?

  • Staar

Hey I was wondering what kind of eyeshadow you used here??

  • Julie

Gorgeous, Say. I love the dress & make-up!

  • Sayward

    @ Kate – thanks Lady!

@ JLC- Thanks! The easiest way for me to get sewing is modify something I already have, as opposed to making something from scratch. I love customizing clothing, and it’s really easy!

@ me3 – Miss Marla Singer of course!

@ Staar – Eek! It’s just cheap drugstore form years ago . . . like I’m embarrassed to admit how many years ago. Sorry!

    @ Julie – Thanks dear!
