♥ Amazing photo courtesy of Waits’s outdoor school. ♥

There is a glass full of blooming daffodils on the table in front of me, and my skin is sun-warmed from a lovely day of romping around wine country. The hillsides are all ablaze with wild mustard, bright yellow and shoulder high, rolling down to the ocean glittering like a giant sapphire all the way to the horizon.

Spring has officially arrived in Santa Barbara, and I am loving every little minute of it. Here’s what it looked like this week:

Mucking about in nature, like we always do.

This amazing plate of food, which I was lucky enough to share with the lovely Elana.

Finding tiny new friends. (California Slender Salamander) ♥

Super exciting outdoor projects.

First “duck couple” sighting of the year! This is a sort of famous duo, a bonded pair of ducks that live at UCSB and hang out all over campus. They’re absolutely adorable and I was so happy to spot them near the bio building this week.

Tasting chives and chive blossoms with my kinder-gardeners.

Hello, you big beautiful bowl of amazing!

Putting together a few herbal tinctures (alcohol added after these photos were taken) to steep. They’ll be ready in a few weeks!

Afternoon amari (Nonino for me; Fernet for her) with a most beautiful companion.

And now, it’s time for the one, the only, Le Love List!

Getting great feedback at my new job. // Getting my first pay check for my new job. Proud. // Working my arse off (10 hour days) at my new job, and loving every minute of it. // Trusting. My “new job” is technically a temporary position, but instead of stressing, I’m just enjoying the moment, doing my very best, and *trusting*. // Having multiple friends text me this week for advice on magick and spell work. I’m happy to be the go-to witch! // Good hair days, the ones where my curls go all perfectly curly. // Wearing lingerie around the house, because why not? (on days we don’t have Waits, of course) // Singing and harmonizing with Jeremy. It’s such a special, and new-to-me, way to connect. ♥ // Smooth school day mornings with Waits. // Feeling sore in every muscle, now that I’m working out. // Waits just turned 7 — a very important age. And this week, Jeremy gave Waits his first real pocket knife. Not only Waits’s first knife, but the first knife that Jeremy ever bought himself, over 30 years ago. This week he passed it on to Waits, and I can’t tell you how happy it made me. And we sat Waits down and gave him a good long talk about safety and responsibility, and oh boy is he proud! You should see the sparkle in his eye as he asks, “Do you need anything cut? I can help with that!” He just melts my heart.

Well, they both do. ♥

Alright guys, now it’s your turn! I really love reading your own Le Love Lists, so please leave them down in the comments below. What are the little things in your life that make you smile this week?

Happy Sunday, I hope you have a most wonderful week!

Hmm… Here are things that I’m grateful to have in my life: seeing my beautiful animals so comfortably asleep// dreaming about finally trying for a baby this September// seeing how much my husband cares about our cat who is feeling a bit ill// watching movie series with mum and trying to enjoy every second of my time with her// learning new skills at my job// finally feeling at peace and not having to rush my life in every direction possible.

This post was exactly what I needed on this Monday of Suckery. Thank you for the reminder to breathe and enjoy all the beautiful things around us at all times and to quit focusing on the passing uglies. <3 Those ducks…LOVE!

Love getting out in our garden eventhough I have NO idea what I’m doing LOL… as long as things grow I’m good haha.*New hiking spots *Spending the weekends outside, aaaall day both days! *Sharing the stories of our ancestors with Phoenyx (Disney’s The Prince of Egypt was a great movie to help with the telling of Passover to a four y/o ;)) *This new mushroom Cacao I found! *Ladybugs!!!! They’ve been landing on P a lot lately & he keeps saying they’re giving him love <3 <3 … And yay to you for starting to work out!! Maintaining the energy to keep up with these kids is so hard, it's my motivation to gt moving.

That so special about Waits getting that knife. He’ll treasure it always

That rainbow pic is beautiful! And that sandwich concoction looks delish (but the weirdo in me wants to push it further onto the board/plate so it doesn’t fall off!). Congrats on the new job!

Aww I love the Passover story, it so reminds me of my childhood. We didn’t celebrate this year, but we told Waits the story on a long car trip recently. He of course was mostly just interested in the 10 plagues, haha.

I would love to prepare a fully-vegan Sedar one of these years. Some day . . .

I love your Love List, thank you so much for always sharing them! It’s so awesome to get to watch P grow and here what you guys are up to. ♥

We could all use that reminder some times. Glad I could provide!

Love the Love List, Olya! Thanks so much for sharing.

Of course he loved the 10 plagues LOL boys! P found it interesting but then the whole smiting of the first borns…that was a little rough:/:/ Hearing him try to sing the four questions was the cutest thing ever though! And if anyone could pull off a vegan Seder it would absolutely be you… and it would be amazing bcse you are so creative!
