So, how was the *oh! horror!* of having a Monday Monthly Mission centered all around shopping?! Haha, who says going green can’t be fun?
Although my bed rest kept my thrifting to a minimum, I was able to pick up a few awesome items this month. And of course, all the clothes and baby clothes I bought were gently used. But it’s not about me – I want to hear about you guys!
How did this month go for you? Were you able to remain entirely secondhand? What kind of goods did you get and how did you have to alter your habits? And most importantly, are you going to try to keep it up indefinitely???
I’d really love to share the thrift store love, so please please please:
1) Send me pics of the pillage! If you scored something amazing that you’d like to share, email me a picture (you don’t have to be wearing it if you don’t want to) at info@bonzaiaphrodite.com Please include your first name and the city/country you found it in.
2) Send me the names and addresses of the BEST secondhand stores in your city, and maybe a brief description of why they’re so rad. I want to compile a list of the greatest thrift stores across America (across the world??). So send me all the top secret hot spots you know of in every city you’ve been to. Send your thrift stats to info@bonzaiaphrodite.com

I found a completely awesome pair of brignt, cherry red, skinny jeans (perfect for spring and summer!) I am in LOVE with them. And they cost me only 3 dollars.
Also picked up a fitted black velvet blazer. Perfect to go over dresses, or to pair with fun tops and jeans. I just love finding classic pieces like that with so much versatility.
And Sayward…..we would LOVE to hear about your finds too!

I LOVE thrifting! Our best stores in my area are the Goodwills. We really don’t have many others! :(

I found a lot of great jars for canning in the fall. I’m looking now so I’ll have enought to put up all my yummies when the time comes. I also found a wonderful shirt for my neice (who isn’t born yet). I’m going to try and attach the picture but forgive me if it doesn’t work.

I got them at St.Vincent DePaul. But, I’d have to say the best thrift store to me, is Goodwill. My organizational and aesthetic self, LOVES the color coordinated rows of clothes! It’s like a rainbow of frugality!

last week i got an awesomely cute rayon houndstooth sundress that buttons all the way down so it’s perfect for layering thru all seasons, for $2 at my local (and only) thrift store, “the queen’s wardrobe”, located in the basement of the senior center. but…but…if i give the location, *everyone* will want to shop there! (haha…i’m not really near anywhere anyone is, so…)
my greatest steal there was last year…a new-with-tags $80 cotton/linen sweater from macy’s for $3. and they have $5 bag sales there, too, from time-to-time. last time i got probably well over $50 worth of stuff there.
aaaahhhh, i *love* thrifting!
