Thanks for all the comments guys! I love that these posts are so well received. I have a lot of fun writing them, and I feel like it's a good place to practice my birthday resolution of opening up more. So yay!

~~~
@ Jenn L - You can totally make juice in the blender! - http://bonzaiaphrodite.com/2011/04/how-to-make-fresh-juice-without-a-juicer/
@ Monika - Sounds like our house when I was pregnant and put on bed rest. There was some serious craziness going on up in our kitchen with Damian at the helm. At least we got a LOT of laughing out of it.
@ erosan - You were the first person who turned me on to The Oatmeal and it's SO GOOD! I still use the apostrophe one all. the. time.
@ Moira - Tobasco eh? I was always in the Tapatio camp. ;-)
Also to everyone, I love all the Rooster love and your comments have inspired me to action. I begin recipe testing tonight!!!
@Monika: My in-laws are on a trip, so we are taking care of their garden... and -fearing they might go wasted- I had to harvest a couple of habaneros the other day...
Nothing quite like good chiles, especially if fresh.
I find I need some structure in my day, or I end up not getting anything done. But if I get too structured, I stress myself out with how much I must do.
Definitely keep us updated on homemade sri racha! The boyfriend loves that stuff, but I 've had to convince him it's a special-treat hot sauce, because the ingredients list isn't too whole-foods-diet friendly.
@erosan: That comic's awesome! I pull a "Napalm Jungle" at least once a day. My daughter seems to be building up a tolerance, err, I mean developing a taste for, Sriracha. So I've switched to Pukka Sauce, which uses yummy-delicious scotch bonnet peppers, or my own homemade habanero sauce.
I own Gwyneth Paltrow's cookbook (don't judge! It was slightly gifted) & I never noticed what the heck is in sriracha until she said someone else pointed it out to her. She has a recipe for it in her book, & there are definitely some online. It was such an err duh moment- if I can make tasty saurkraut & kimchi at home, why the heck not sriracha?? It also keeps for a long time in the fridge, just like the original :)
I could definitely benefit from more routine in my life.. thanks for the motivation.
A reversal of roles in this household. My husband DEFINITELY kicks my butt in the kitchen. I'm not terrible, but really... I definitely need to step up my game.
Sriracha is great. But tabasco sauce has my heart. *swoon*
