Oh hey there!
After four months of not reading any blogs and stuff on my computer, due to no internet perception at the place I stayed at and the travels that followed, I’m sorta browsing some of my favorite blogs today and just stumbled upon your last/latest blogpost! I’m so happy for you, that your break from blogging turned out just the way you had imagined (though I also miss your blogging)! My “private internet break” was really good for me, too (I still had internet access at work, but I didn’t really use it for private things, just for the important stuff). I read a lot more books over the course of the summer and even though I missed my favorite TV-series in the beginning I was also happy to postpone binge-watching them until the darker season arrives. So, yeah… I justed wanted to say ‘hi’ and tell you how happy it made me to read how happy you are!

I just love your updates. I totally understand the need to step away for family, for work, for school…I so understand. But I still love them. We are similar, but we are different in so many ways, but I love that. Keep on rolling…

Hey, great to see you even if it’s not to be a regular thing! And major congrats on the official graduation and job. It sounds like you’re in a great place, and that’s awesome.

My love list: carrots, which are the only real success story of my garden this year (and man, do I have a lot of them!) // fermenting carrots in my pantry // I *almost* feel like I’m figuring out how to be, professionally, where I am now (tenured prof – it’s a strange and wonderful and busy place, with lots of unclear expectations and lots and lots of demands on my time) // my kid started 2nd grade too (at a new school!) and so far she’s loving it! // things are really good lately in my relationship with my husband–like, really, really good // a summer of camping trips and plans for fall camping // running // all my bright and wonderful students, starting our semester together.

I loved reading this, thank you for sharing :) I’ve been reading your blog for years and years, and I always love what you share. So however infrequent it becomes (although time has gone so fast I feel like it was a week ago that you said you weren’t going to blog much!!), it is appreciated. My love list is: bits of sunshine where the washing can hang out on the line in the garden, seeing seals on rocks from the train window on my commute, and significantly better mental health than i had this time last year :) Jen xx
