It was a trippy experience. The mirage effect definitely played a role and I didn’t realize how far it actually was. I got to this point though where I had gone so far and I just HAD to get to the other end. I wish I had packed a better pack (more water & food) but I am super glad I did it. It was an amazing experience to get to the other side and be in apart of the world where hardly anyone had ever been.

Grad school is about so much more than building a bigger brain.
