I read this post when you first put it up…. love Waits, long hair and short! But I noticed several comments about letting his haircut be his choice.
#1: Dang! Why is everyone so worried about whether it was his decision or not?! Seriously? Its hair. It will grow back. Men these days cut their hair every/every-other month. He’s got a lot of hair decisions ahead.
I had a similar experience with my 3 yo daughter (well she was 1 yo when this was brought up) with ear piercing. It seems like everyone I know who has a daughter, had their ears pierced before a year old. Well, I debated it for a while; I didn’t feel right about just doing something so invasive unless it was medically necessary. Then I had a friend (who doesn’t have children) make a side comment that “It’s her body, why don’t you just wait and let her decide if she wants piercings…” Ever since then, I’ve been determined to let her make her own decisions about her body, even on the subject of diet (well, more or less, I let her have healthy choices lol).
But at the same time, I don’t condemn folks who make these decisions for their children.

It was his decision to chop it this time, and it’ll continue to be his decision in the future. His body = his decision.

Oh man, it will be posted as soon as it’s DONE. Oof. Between grad school for me and Jeremy’s crazy work schedule, the room is taking a LOT longer than we had anticipated. But it’s really coming along and should be done in the next few weeks. I’ll definitely post it as soon as it’s complete. It’s pretty freakin’ amazing. ;-)
