Thank you for sharing.
I have read many stories of vegans whose health was failing. The professionals they talk to, who are omnivores, encourage them to eat animal stuff again.
Thank you for doing your homework and seeing that all things are possible for those who really want to be healthy, and find a way.
I have met several omnivore women who have B12 absorption problems, and they have to take B12 injections and other choices. Yet, many label B12 deficiencies a "vegan": problem. Nope.

Thank you for your humaneity. I read so much by omnivores who marinate in their eating-- nicely raised animals. They feel vindicated and justified to do what they do because they want to.
The "pastured" farmers have a close relationship with the animals. They watch them grow up and nurture them. Then, one day, the casually send them, the animals that TRUSTED them, to slaughter. This becomes easier every year. They say they "love" their animals. But the cries of the betrayed animals continue.
namaste' from a fellow (long term whole food ethical vegan).

I an an "ex-omnivore" for over 30 years, as is every vegan. Most humans in the world get sick from omnivorism, as compared to veganism. Millions of humans are sick with diseases from omnivorism--hospitals are loaded with them. Even a handful of pastured animal farmers "got sick" from their (pastured) omnivore diets and became whole food vegans.
Consuming "nicely-raised" animals is part of the human ego, to believe that we can slaughter humanely, and that the animals are happy to die for our meals. They are not. Watch the documentary Earthlings, or, work in a saughterhouse for a weeks' shift. You make your own choices, but the biggest cult in the world is those who eat corpses and call it food. I grew up doing that. Take care.

Anyone "becoming" vegan must be aware and careful about B12 deficiencies. Many omnivore humans, who eat flesh, eggs, & dairy, become B12 deficient, many more than the number of vegan deficiencies. B12 supplements do not work for everyone. The B12 issue cannot be blamed on veganism!. It normally takes 10 years to become deficient, yet many new (vegetarians) as vegans may ALREADY be deficient, as most humans do not get B12 from eggs or dairy. Sorry that you got sick, however there are methods to prevent this from happening, such as B12 injections, B12 yeast, cleaning up the digestive system where B12 is absorbed, clean Nori sheet eating, or duckweed supplements, and your choice was to eat animals again. I write as a whole food ethical vegan for over 30 years. Take care.
