The danger with fermented foods during breastfeeding is that they could trigger a detox that would possibly pollute your milk. Some things to consider:

Do you have any mercury/amalgam fillings?

How "clean" has your diet been? Ie, is there a lot of crap to detox, or have you already been eating well for a long time?

I think it's probably just fine (I do it!), but I'd start with a small amount and work up.

If you're worried about food poisoning or something like that, well I suppose that's technically a risk. But if you're doing things right, it's not something that I personally worry about.

Luck!
