Okay, sorry me again – seriously I’m so excited to read this post…. another great one from Raffi is the “Evergreen Everblue” album – all the songs are about how the planet should be loved, respected and cared for – all good things in my book! And as much as my husband gives me grief for still loving Raffi, we have an inside joke where one of us will say “It’s my home” and the other will answer “It’s where I live” (from the song “Big Beautiful Planet”). I can’t wait to be able to share these songs with my own children.

You don’t know how happy you just made me!!! I *still* listen to Joshua Giraffe, even at 25. My husband makes so much fun of me, but I just can’t help it, it makes me smile every time. I had the baby beluga tape when I was five and I listened to it so much it literally broke into pieces. Oooh and I loved “oats and beans and barley grow” too! So many wonderful memories, thanks for posting this and reminding me!

@ Rachel – My husband, only 2 years older than me, never listened to Raffi either. I’m like, ‘What?! How is that possible??’

@ Alternative Housewife – You can still get Raffi stuff, so you can totally relive the Raffi awesomeness with your little one!

That was awesome! That reminds me, I really need to get those Raffi tapes on CD before the tapes die. I’ve also discovered I’ve somehow married a man who’s never listened to Raffi despite being a fellow child of the ’80s! Ah nostalgia. If I hadn’t packed up most of those books I think I’d go read an Anastasia book or something else from my childhood.

Hi there! Been a little lurkey for a while now but I would love a MMM about volunteering in our communities. I really want to help (animals, people, environment) but I never feel like I know where to go. Some interwebs community motivation would be wonderful.

Also, I just wanted to say that if you get a minute, check out my post from yesterday about my very first garden for which you can take about 75% of the credit for being my inspiration to actually know I could do it. Your farm posts were studied very closely. Thanks!
